This Ibanez has all the same hardware and pickups as their premium line of similar SR models that cost up to 1800$. Came to the conclusion this was the best deal they had in the SR series. Why? Because the body is made from ash. Ash provides a growl. This bass is a tone monster. Active or passive mode. 3 band mid selector freq switch, bass mid and treble control knobs. Phones. Pick up pick up blend control knob with center detent. The SR bass lineup is a proven workhorse. Don’t let the price fool you their premium models that are twice this price have all the exact same hardware and pick ups just the wood is different and this ash is where it’s at.
